Still Here

Oy, I've been busy for the last week. The final assignment in the class for which I am a teaching assistant was due last week, which for me means that I had to fact-check and correct citation formats for 20 fifteen-page briefs - which took bloody forever. The students also have to give oral arguments as part of the project, and I've had to sit on the panel of judges for those, the last of which are this afternoon. I will be very happy to be finished with this gig.

I'm also getting ready to take the MPRE, which is the ethics portion of the bar exam, next week. It's not a huge deal, but it takes some time to memorize the various rules and figure out how to apply them to weird hypothetical dilemmas. Blah.

Yesterday, though, I got to take a break from all this stressful stuff to celebrate the news that my friend Kate just got engaged to her boyfriend. Darren and I took her out for champagne at Ava Lounge at the top of the Dream Hotel in Midtown. It was tons of fun (although my head hurts a little this morning).

That's pretty much all that's been happening. Funny, it's kind of nice to make a boring post today. Maybe something more interesting will happen this weekend, but don't count on it.

*snore* boring :)

Kidding!

Sounds like you needed a little time out with friends, even if it ended up giving you a headache (lightweight).

Have a great day!

I am in constant admiration of guys (or girls) who are smart and can figure out all of that university stuff. Plus the law thing. I'd say you're doing super well and have plenty to be proud and thankful for.

First I thought: there is an ethics exam for lawyers? Really? Then you said it wasn't a very big deal and I thought: figures.

Don't sweat the MPRE...it is surprisingly easy. Use those yellow Law In A Flash cards to study, and you'll be fine.
